MOSCOW, Mar 19 (PRIME) -- The Federal Antimonopoly Service does not see any prerequisites for a rise in wholesale or retail gasoline prices in Russia beyond inflation in 2020, a spokesperson for the authority told PRIME late on Wednesday.
“Presently, there are no prerequisites for a rise in prices both on the wholesale and the retail markets,” the person said.
Retail prices for gasoline grew 0.2% and for diesel fuel 0.19% from January 1 through Wednesday, and inflation amounted to 0.9%, the person added.
President Vladimir Putin earlier was surprised at a 10.44% year-on-year rise in gasoline prices.
